Naughtical

That's a quick post before I leave for work and it is from yesterday. As you have already noticed my workhorse thing at the moment is my black necklace. I seem to work outfits around it almost every day. Do you girls have a piece of accessorie that you keep on using again and again? many kisses till tomorrow. I hope it will rain and get really chilly in the maintime!!!! I have to ruuuun!!!!

Feeling romantic

That's exactly how I felt this morning all pearls and flowers .The cardigan was a bonus !!! I couldn't think of a more appropriate outfit to debut my cardi. This  outfit is so modest but I swear I got many looks and I felt very feminine all day!
Has it ever happen to you to put together a modest outfit and then realize how other people consider it very feminine?

Elegance

I've done this look before but that's real life. I wanted to feel put together this morning cause I feel like having no control over some matters at work.
What I wore today reminded me of how responsible and capable I am and eased my worries.How can a skirt and a shirt do that? Well I 'm not quite sure, but considering that all things are interconnected ...
Now back to the outfit, I kept it simple and added a few accessories playing up with silver and pearls.
Well thought simplicity ,that's elegance for me.

Adult pink

I recently got this skirt (notice got not bought) and it's a favourite colour of mine. However, I almost never wore pink and it's certainly not appropriate for a woman a little over 40. But look at the outfit I got together this morning.Red fits so good with pink and the elements of black ground the outfit. Brown shoes and vintage bag were picked so that the overall effect is not matchy matchy.
I'm also very happy that I use creatively all my clothes because overspending is never a happy ending story .

Automn blues

Today is the last day of summer. No matter how much I like for the weather to cool down a bit , I still love summer the most of all seasons. hence the blue in my outfit today. I went window sopping today after a period of 3 months and I was badly surprised at how much cheap the quality of the clothes has become.

Fall back

Fall back as in I want the Fall back. It's been hot and dry since May and we all crave for the rain to come. I only lasted half an hour in my cardi then it became too hot.
It's the beginning of a busy week with full time work at school,plus after school activities for the kids and later in the evening all the housework and cooking that needs to be done.
Husband works long hours and comes back late and tired. What helps me survive? I try to have things as organized as possible , I don't procrastinate and I take one day at the time.
As for dressing, it surely helps to look good and it's a creative outlet. On Sunday I did a long list of outfits to wear the coming days.
After all I have promised to wear what I have and not buy new often and pay very little when I do.
I love the necklace.

black is beautiful.

In my opinion it's the necklace that makes this outfit.It's black (very versatile )and more important it's the right length. It loops nicely 3 times around my neck and gives a nice effect. Plus it was cheap so I could afford to buy in 3 colours.
I seem to explore all the possibilities around my 2 new skirts lately.It's still very hot in Greece in September and there is no sign of it to cool down.I'm a bit tired of summer outfits and I long for cardis and scarves. (oops nice title for a blog).

scarf lovely

Come fall and it's officially  the beginning of wearing scarves for me. I really love them and starting last fall I've acquired  quite a collection of them. I use them to keep me warm and/or covered and to bring some colour and interest in an otherwise  simple outfit.

pink for grown ups

There is absolutely no question that I love skirts.I rarely do pants anymore. I swapped the skirt the previous weekend and I'm very fond of it. As for the shoes ,they are kitten heels and I heard it will be big news this winter. For the rest ,we are all adjusting to a week full of classes and after school activities.

swap and remix

For me the beginning of the school year is the time of the year I make my resolutions. Wardrobe wise  my resolution is swap and remix .So I swapped the skirt and remixed my t shirt and here I am standing in my new outfit.
I also want to wish to us  teachers to have a great year and to always be kind and loving towards our pupils.

Filling the gap.

I'm not referring to an emotional gap , let's not get too deep.It's just that I have too many tops and not enough bottoms.What I plan to do is sew some skirts and go to a clothes swap. Interesting, creative and environmentally correct ways to go.

Ganesh

Last day of summer holidays school-wise.I will need tons of patience to keep my nirvana hence the India inspired t shirt. I promise to sew a couple of skirts this weekend because too much of a good thing......gets boring.I'm referring to this denim skirt, I frequently wear.
Money-wise now ,I pile up my bangles  and my necklaces to get new combination out of them, so I don't need to buy new stuff.

Buy hard

Buy hard like in I've made it hard for me to buy new things. And I haven't bought anything for 3 months (o.k the shoes... but I really needed those... two pairs).
Instead, I relied on remixing ,on exploring my mum's wardrobe, on checking local markets plus making my own clothes.Try this at home, it works.

Back to scarves

Between moody children and every day chores a colourful scarf can be of great help.It reminds me of happiness,creativity and sunshine.If I manage to feel happy and creative and bright the day will take off.
