One week, 6 outfits

Yet another round up. It seems to be the only way I can manage my blogging time. I can even see in retrospect what I had been wearing the whole week and somehow make useful observations.

Observations like hats and Burberry go good together!

The dress is thrifted and I'm still on the lookout of a good wrap dress.

The LBD dress I sew last winter  surrounded by purple accessories !

All those accessories photograph well!

Monochromatic is not my cup of coffee but when a classic warm (on a cold day )sweater matches a dress so much, then it's a one way outfit!

However, belt and tights give personality to an outfit so I had to add both!

You can tell by now that I love to pose! Maybe I should check with a psycologist! Patti can you schedule an appointment for me on Visible Monday?

I've got so many rings! I might as well wear them!

But the real protagonist of the day is my new pair of shoes! Caprice is the brand and I have to inform you that I'm very reluctant to wearing heels. However, I promised myself to really give them a try this year. I tried many heels and the most comfortable is the pair above!

Pattern and floral on a black canvas! I'm telling you a reciepee for an interesting outfit!

I had to give my nails a break! How do you go about your nails?

This is how it goes lately. I eat some( more than I should) but I also work out at the gym. What happens is that I 'm a few extra kilos but my body is firm so it's not as bad!

What do you think of my thrifted hand sewn vintage dress? Well, it needs a bit of shortening and a bit of styling, right?

See, I can happily wear it and go to teach and don't look outdated, hopefully!
Have an excellent week ahead. I'll post next weekend.

Dress up (in a way) week

When I look at the photos of this week's round up I feel like I had been dressing up each single day. In the first day I felt like Indiana Jones and yet on the second day I was ready to hit the snowy mountains. The third day I look like I had been dressing up with my girlfriends! What do you think?
That's how I feel when I look at the photos and I feel grateful that I wake up each morning and play with my clothes and start funny and in a creative way, my day!

I put on my good old trusted tartan shirt which always fotographs good and my white thrifted pants which have already saved many of my outfits. They look great with anything and look more impressive than black pants! on top my woolen Primark tunic already a favorite.

No need to tell it's the hat that gave me the Indiana Jones feeling!

Boots, hat, scarf and winter themed leggings over thermal tights can show you how cold it was that day in Crete!

In case you wander about the young boy behind me, he's my middle son coming back from school.
                                                               Bring the skiis, anyone?
Like I promised, the result of the imaginary dress up with my girlfriends. Maybe a bit overdone but definitely feminine!
Pencil skirts and pumps are made for each other...

I only wish I had better balance on them!
Have a wonderful week ahead and I will try to stop by and read all your lovely blogs!!!

A week in clothes

How is it possible to become busier and busier as the time goes by? But actually this is what is happening in my life. I believe it's because I started going to the gym 4 times a week 1h and 20 min each time( thank god it's just around the corner from my house).
What I do is try to be very organised with cooking, household and studying for school but then some things I love like blogging suffer. I take things week by week or better say step by step and see what I will figure next.

For this week I have a week round up to post.

Μy new Primark dress together with my Lidl fleece jacket and favorite old black cardigan from M&S are put together with my new M&S denim trousers in a casual  city look.

Next day I tried a total black look put together with the help of my black zara pencil skirt and black Primark sweater. But this would be no outfit at all unless I used my favorite scarf . Which I did and the result was a decent ethnic outfit!

Next day was a more matchy matchy feeling in the air so I wore my new patterned pencil skirt which was a conscious buy together with my old zara orange cardigan. I had to keep all else black for obvious reasons. People seem to like matchy matchy and I judge that from the good comments I got.

This is my favorite outfit of the week as you can see from the amount of the photos. This Lacoste dress is a recent purchase and I bought it full price 178euro by far the most expensive item in my closet at the moment. But I hate to admit that it fits my body like glove and every time I put it on I forget about it, no pulls or unecessary adjustments. And I feel great and very shic. So I quess there is truth in investing on basic pieces. The funny thing is that I know it but I rarely do. I want to change it this year.

White photographs so greatly and so is my freshly colored hair done at the hair salon and not at home like i did in the past. Some things must be done by the proffessionals!
My new Primark dress and the gifted long cardigan by mum actually go well together and make for a boho outfit for the end of the working week.

Have a great week ahead! We here in Greece are also busy with building a new country!!! And we still love our new government and on 11th February we will be out in the streets to support them while they will discuss about our country's future with the other European countries in Eurogroup.
