My capsule wardrobe / Project 333 / outfit 2

I chose the black dress to include in my capsule wardrobe because it is long and has a slimming effect. It's simple and classic and a great basic canvas. However, it is body conscious so I need an overlayer, like this light, flowing dress(?). This way I have all the right places covered!!!

You will be seeing this dress and over layer a lot but each time I will accessorise a bit differently (Jewllery, bag, shoes). What I do with this project 333 is that I have limited my choices so much that it becomes truly easy to create stylish outfits, also because I have given a lot of thought in advance and everything is  well co ordinated. A great lesson to learn.

What are your thoughts about this strategy? Would you consider doing something similar?

  3. I'm working on two capsule wardrobes. Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter. I don't have a lot of space so I'm really trying to be thoughtful about purchases but at the same time since I went back to work I've wanted to buy better pieces to replace some ill-fitting or lesser quality things. I haven't yet felt the benefits of buying less....LOL
I love this dress tunic you're wearing here. They are so versatile and can even be worn in different seasons. I'm adding you too!!

    1. I think I'll do the same, built me a winter capsule wardrobe. What i noticed so far is that the more I totally love what i wear the less I want to buy something more. But I still need to replace so much that I don't see the benefits either. Only that I know what i'm looking for and don't rush to buy ...whatever just to buy something.

    1. Thank you for your uplifting generous commenting. I will have to be very inventive considering how little I have added to my capsule. Accessories can make all the difference.

  5. A dress and a tunic wonderful, I love the look and outfit with sneakers, pendant and nice bag. Surely you need to hide things?

    1. Thank you, I also think tunics are wonderful. You know Josep Maria I exercise and try to eat healthy but I'm nearing 50. Tight dresses are for my daughter. But I can wear tight dresses only make them appropriate for my age. I can't wait to see what you make for us next week.

  6. This is a great idea to wear that crochet dress over the basic black one (though I don't think you have to hide something with your slim figure). Black dress is a good thing to have in one's wardrobe because there are many variations to make it look different. Beautiful necklace and really cool sneakers.

  7. You look great Angie. I will consider this sort of wardrobe in the future. For now I am just too lazy/busy to do anything about it. I also wanted you to know I nominated you for a Liebster award. xo

  8. I love this look and I too am a big fan of the over-layer! This looks is fun and flirty and very you! Are you doing your project 333 seasonally? Sorry if you've explained this somewhere and I missed it. Is this a summer wardrobe capsule for three months and then you make a different one in the next season? xo
