Joggling

Joggling was the agenda for me today. I didn't accomplice much but I had to do a lot with my kids, kids at school and the chaos my house turned into in just one day. Then catch up with the work I had brought home, catch up with the political news about Greece and of course catch up with you ladies and your wonderful blogs. So, I go first ......... here is what I wore today
Outfit details skirt thrifted *shirt Robert Friedmann *shoes Nina Rossi * bag thrifted

Excuse my poses overload but posing gets so much easier with time and I have become more playful in front of the camera. I discovered that posing in less reserved ways doesn't look overdone in the photos. Or at least not as much as I thought. It's becoming a little ritual that I share with my daughter. I pose in crazy ways and she photographs.  I hope she won't get any wrong messages. For the moment she said she enjoys that we spend time together.
How do you go about your posing? Do you find it difficult? Is it important for your post? Is it getting better with time?

Hemming... no way!

Today's  denim trousers are a massive example at how useless I am with hemming. I practicly destroyed this expensive ( 100euro)Levi's pair by hemming it myself  shorter than I should. But I wear it anyway because a. it's comfortable b.not everyone is style guru so the flaw goes generally unnoticed.
Outfit details * Levi's trousers * white top  FGL thrifted * lace top has proved so versatile, found on the beach 3summers ago* shoes Juliani studio    * beret zara a gift to my elder son*scarf bianco

I've got 2 strange questions today.
Have you ever had a diy disaster while refashioning a piece of cloth?
Have you ever found a piece of clothing on the beach?
Tell me, I'm not the only one who destroys her expensive clothes but finds new ones on the beach!

My first award ever

Much to my delight I was nominated by a wonderful lady whose blog I recently started following  for a readership award.
Her name is Shawna of  the http://thedirectorofawesome.blogspot.gr  and she knows how to write and pick up her topics at her blog The director of Awesome. She is also one of my favorites in the comments department that's why she became one of my favorites to follow in such a short time.
I thank her for the nomination and there follow the rules and my nominees!

The Rules
1. The Nominee of the Wonderful Team Member Readership Award shall display the logo on his/her post/page and/or sidebar.

2. The Nominee shall nominate 14 readers they appreciate over a period of 7 days (1 week) – this can be done at any rate during the week. It can be ALL on one day or a few on one day and a few on another day, etc.

3. The Nominee shall name his or her Wonderful Team Member Readership Award nominees on a post or on posts during the 7 day (1 week) period.

4. The Nominee shall make these rules, or amended rules keeping to the spirit of the Wonderful Team Member Readership Award, known to each reader s/he nominates.

5. The Nominee must finish this sentence and post: ”A Great reader is…”

A great reader is  a) someone who consistently comments in a meaningfull way b)someone who regularely visits my blog in a silent way. Both take time out of their busy lives to visit my little corner and I have no words to state how I appreciate this.
I raise 3kids and work 2 jobs  so the time I spend on preparing my posts is already too much but it's my hobby and I love it. My great readers with their consistency and bright comments have helped me and many others to slowly built a great community where we feel warm and welcome. So great readers do help in creating those communities where acceptance /come as you are/ is the most vital element.
I finish by saying that a great reader is also someone who doesn't give negative comments and concentrates on the positive sides of every post. It's a life attitude and in my opinion a characteristic of a good reader.
So, in no particular order my nominees are
Patti notdeadyetstyle.blogspot.gr
fortsmithstylista.blogspot.gr
Peaches mcginty
Rose AG
Sacramento Amate
 northernmumdownsouth
Vix
Elsie Davies
Pam
dressupnotdown.blogspot.gr
Grande Dame
thecitizenrosebud
Curtise
Gracey

Sorry I  included either  the name of the blogger or the title of her blog and rarely both but by the time I noticed I was finished and it seemed so compicated to go back to correct it.
So now you know the ladies that along with many great others make blogging so much more fun for me.

Dressed in my garden

I wasn't going to waste my time. Since I saw this dress, long tank top style, I new I wanted to wear it under a shirt. Any shirt out of my collection would look good and if it didn't I would recite the mix and match mandra 'everything matches' to persuade myself.

I didn't have to, though cause I went with the safest of choices, my denim shirt. How is it possible that so few are worn by women my age in my town. Oh! never mind, they miss!

The dress is heavy cotton and was bought for just 2 euros, brand new. If I'm going to wear it under my 15 shirts it's 0,13 per wear. I can live with that!
Outfit details*dress denim &co *shirt berska *bag blog accessories *shoes new, local market for 5euro

A bit of eye candy just because the weather is good and my little girl/photographer had inspiration!

Look how cute she styled her  inside the house clothes

How to wear two dresses

I seem to be living on layers recently and  went a few steps beyond today. Caramel tight thin dress underneath (you see it picking out in some photos), beige cardi on top and another dress on top of cardi. I thought to myself 'you have to keep it simple on the rest', however I somehow stepped on my new zebra patforms.
Outfit details*caramel dress Berska *cardi zara *dress thriftrd sinequanone * scarf stradivarious*shoes new

I crocheted the clutch embellishment and I managed to tear  my scarf so it will go in the mending pile later today!

Eye catcher

Waiting for the freshly baked bread to cool down a bit so I can devour a piece together with olives I kept thinking what a head turner red is. I wore it today and people kept turning their heads. Instinctively, they couldn't help it.Quarantee sucess for those of you who seek attention.

Outfit details *shirt quasimodo * skirt linen&cotton blend thrifted and shortened *cardi refashioned aka shortened by me zara*shoes cheap but comfortable

In the blue pocket I put my mobile and headphones. I walk a lot every day and I always listen to music. Sometimes drivers make strange gestures and say something but I play music loud so I don't know!
                                                            See, my walking legs????

I'm expanding

My stop smoking kilos are starting to show now but I'll deal with them later on. Right now I'm only counting the blessings since I quit. One of them is that I have more free time to blog and more money to shop eh thrift I mean.

I thrifted the black long vest  because it gives texture to my outfit as it lets what's underneath show. Today I tried to layer a shirt and a vest over my basic white tshirt. You can do the same by using two shirts. There is a huge number of shirts waiting to be thrifted out there and be worn on top of each other now that is getting warmer and a jacket is no longer  necessary.
Outfit details*shirt H&M and vest thrifted*basic t shirt M&S *pants zara* beads &bag local market

Enjoy the details and have you noticed my socks trick?
