Today I'm writing my 500th post. I'm not sure if it's a big achievement or not because it took me since December 2009 to get here but I know it's been a great journey and still is, even more now as it gets better with time.
Well back to now! I accumulated so much stuff via thrifting and gifting this winter and there is no way to be able to wear them all. I mainly wear them on top of each other as you may have noticed not out of some stylistic revelation but to get some wear out of them and not feel like I totally spent my money or was ungrateful.
I'm still remixing mainly but also add 1or2or3 new items before it gets too hot and layering is out of the question here in Greece!
So what you see here is my basic thin dress that is too tight to wear on its own but makes for a great background. On top is the- no one wanted to thrift this- fine see through tunic and for a good reason.
On top is this musturd cardi that has a sentimental value. My mum gave this to me and it was custom made for her back in the 80s together with a dress that will also be mine soon. As a young girl I remember her wearing both and it brings sweet memories.
The quality of the wool and the care my mum gave it are the reasons it's in excellent condition.

You know how sometimes others can see things we are good at but we haven't fully realised?
I'll give you an arm candy photo of my daughter and you in retrn for my 500 th post will tell me what you like about my blog , what you think I'm good at , what you want more of this blog so I can get a more clear picture .
You would get the arm candy anyway! Thanks in advance !
What I like about your blog is that it is uniquely you. I like your layering and the way you fearlessly experiment with it. I love this outfit and it looks great on you. I am quite envious of the shoes and I think layering the thinner, tighter dress underneath is a fantastic idea! Happy 500 posts!

ReplyDeleteHi Angie, Congrats on the 500th post!! You look great...this is a very cool outfit!!
ReplyDeleteThe colors go together pretty well. Does the thin dress work over pants?
ReplyDeleteI know I can make it work!
DeleteAll these pieces look so pretty together. Love the mustard cardi with that tunic.
ReplyDeleteGood strategy on the layering to allow your overabundance of clothing a chance to make an appearance. :)
Only there is no way I can do that with shoes and bags!!!
