4 outfits, some shoes and accessories

It's been a while, I know. I hold my self accountable just because I promised my self to post almost everyday and the life got in the way sperkled with bits of procastrination.
On the other hand I've been into some interesting projects. I discovered( I don't remember any more how a great anti consumerism blog that I've been sort of studying since then. It's called not buying anything.
And as far as my creative life I'm into refashioning lately which means I get thrifted pieces and try to make new garments out of them. I've only refashioned a sweater so far and I will photograph soon.
So, here is what I wore last week. It's a mix of old, new, bought retail or thrifted pieces.

How to wear the same pants 2 days or more in a row

Finally, I sorted things out (with camera)!!! That's what women always do! Ha-ha! So, I will post 2 days worth of outfits. It's the same pants but different tops and shoes.

It's obvious that the outfits are very similar in construction. It's a shirt+ scarf+a kind of cardigan+ pants. It's the combo I mostly use lately.

It's a mix of Zara( pants, scarves) and thrifted items.

Found nothing... bought nothing

Simple, cosy, everyday outfit. Not much to say other than I needed this tan/beige pants to anchor so many of my clothes.
I went thrifting, I found nothing... I bought nothing. I left feeling proud. I have become very aware of the things I bring back to my closet!
Nothing I don't really like comes in there!

What I bought this week

This are my purchases for the week 2-6 November 2015. A new way to keep track of what I buy and how much I spend. Hopefully after a year I will be able to draw conclusions.

Rainbow brand dress/tunic which is made in Turkey/new. A thick cotton knit, boho style and a lovely mix of blue and olive colors. Already a favorite. It cost me just 0,50 euro.

Only brand( I think danish, you are welcome to correct me)bolero/new. The softest, warm wool in long time in rich olive color. It feels so cosy to wear. It also cost me 0,50 euro.

Another Only brand sweater made in Bangladesh/new. A cotton blend in a veriety of colors, comfy stuff with a front pocket. I think of layering it over some of my shirts! I think it will give me many options. It cost me 1.00euro

A Serrato brand sweater/ new, no other info except it's made of cotton, acrylic and elastane. It usually happens when clothes are made in China. I chose it because of the color and the design. I think of changing the buttons, though. It will make another great layering piece over my shirts or long sleeves or even over some of my dresses. It cost me 1.00euro

A very basic linen beige shirt. There is no other info except that on buttons it reads Kookai/new. It has really nice fit and it's well made. It will make a great basic piece.
It cost me 0,50euro

Another pair of elastic trousers, the third I have bought since the begining of autumn. They are great fit and qualifies as a basic piece. It is 1975 Denim and it's from Zara. I paid full price for it 35,95 euro.

Boho dream

Today's outfit was built around my newly thrifted tunic dress in a boho style which is brand new, good thick quality cotton and cost mejust 50cents! A dream for a fashion blogger! The dress/tunic is super casual and I went along with it wearing my super casual thrifted jacket and jeggings! It was a bit cooler in the morning so I added the neck warmer I crocheted myself. I even fotographed myself  today the exact way I go out the door. Holding my velvet large bag full of school supplies, drawings, lesson plans, coffee drink, sandwich, and my big year planner.

Getting ready for the weekend and my planned shopping/thrifting trip tomorrow!

Create everyday

Today's outfit was a remix of what I have recently purchased. To be honest to create  different outfits everyday, which is something I totally love and completely enjoy, I need to insert interesting new pieces quite often. And that's when thrifting becomes useful. I have said before that I consider dressing like painting. It has a lot to do with colors and certainly about details. In that sense my basic wardrobe serves for the basic colors and the thrifted items are the interesting details! I want to keep them coming!

All about comfort

I depend a lot on scarves and jeggings these days. I 'm all in for comfort and remix.
Burgundy flats make  an interesting detail and I love my new inexpensive necklace. The scarf is a gift by my bestwoman given to me many years back.  I've worn it a couple of times but I don't usually grab for it although I like it.

Seems that our cat is not camera shy and that she enjoyed the photo session of yesterday.

Outfit details: Pants/ Berska, shoes/ Anesia, shirt/ Anna Riska, necklace/ local market 2 euro, scarf/ gifted, cardigan/ knitted by mum

Olive rocks

I couldn't resist to present another one of my newly  thrifted sweaters. It's a woolen/acrilic mix and so soft and not itchy at all. It's better to wear without a jacket on top because of the big sleeves. It will not be practical. So autumn is the perfect time of the year and maybe early spring.
The colors are easy to pair with a lot of what I have. I chose the olive jeggings (sort of) and the olive scarf. Since I have become a redhead olive color looks good on me. The hat is for styling reasons, I couldn't bring myself to wear it in the street. Maybe on a more relaxed outing but not on my way to work.

Guest Star is our family cat Ainstein! The belted look was the aha! moment of the outfit!

Details of outfit: sweater Zara/thrifted 2.00 euro, pants/Zara 19.95euro, scarf/old since 2010, bag/ leather gift from mum, boots/favorite in need of replacement

And it's time for visible monday again, so come along over at Patti's . There is a surprise give away, too!
Have a nice week.

Thrift again! Yeah!

This outfit is based around my newly thrifted simple and basic sweater. It's the first of the 4 sweaters I thrifted last Friday. I love how its  quiet presense helps to show off my old flower scarf ( so many accent colors in there) and my new burgundy leggings.
The perfect buddy for creating so many outfits!

I seem to prefer my family jewellery lately like the ring that is what my mum wore when engaged and the bracelet that is mine since I was 6 years old and because it's adjustable, I can still wear and enjoy all the more.
The ring belongs to my teenage daughter who is happy that somebody found a use for it since it is absolutely not her style, as she puts it.

Outfit details: sweater/ Classic Woman- Thrifted 2 euro, Scarf/Stradivarious, leggings/Tally Weijll, shoes/Berska, nail polish/ Chanel 455 Lotus Rouge

In a haste, I took some fotos of my thrifted sweaters. I'll be building outfits around them in November. It was rainy today so maybe colder days are coming.

All in beige/tan color, basic and 2 euro each!
Two of them have wool in the blend.
The cardigan is cotton blend.
I had forgotten the joys of thrifting!
The truth is that if I want to keep on blogging I need to rely on thrifting. But mostly I thrift because I want my money to stay locally and because it's better for our planet.
