How to wear the same pants 2 days or more in a row

Finally, I sorted things out (with camera)!!! That's what women always do! Ha-ha! So, I will post 2 days worth of outfits. It's the same pants but different tops and shoes.

 It's obvious that the outfits are very similar in construction. It's a shirt+ scarf+a kind of cardigan+ pants. It's the combo I mostly use lately.

It's a mix of Zara( pants, scarves) and thrifted items.

Boho dream

Today's outfit was built around my newly thrifted tunic dress in a boho style which is brand new, good thick quality cotton and cost mejust 50cents! A dream for a fashion blogger! The dress/tunic is super casual and I went along with it wearing my super casual thrifted jacket and jeggings! It was a bit cooler in the morning so I added the neck warmer I crocheted myself. I even fotographed myself  today the exact way I go out the door. Holding my velvet large bag full of school supplies, drawings, lesson plans, coffee drink, sandwich,and my big year planner.

Create everyday

Today's outfit was a remix of what I have recently purchased. To be honest to create  different outfits everyday, which is something I totally love and completely enjoy, I need to insert interesting new pieces quite often. And that's when thrifting becomes useful. I have said before that I consider dressing like painting. It has a lot to do with colors and certainly about details. In that sense my basic wardrobe serves for the basic colors and the thrifted items are the interesting details! I want to keep them coming!

Hand sewn silk sleevless cardigan

This outfit was created around the silk piece of fabric you see coming out of my jacket. The story behind this item is that it had been given to me by my 80 years old aunt who used to be a seamstress. I've been toying around with it for some time but silk is difficult to sew so I never ventured until this summer. For a while, I was into researching( the scientific term for endless hours of Pinterest) very  basic patterns of sewing mostly from Japanese magazines. Then, I came across groups that were into hand sewing only. When I saw this video and this video I decided to make a long scarf cardigan. This is how I wore it.

 I don't know why I chose a sporty look to go with it but I don't regret it now that I see the photos.

On another note, I went thrifting today since last spring. I scored 4 beige/tan sweaters (new) for 8 euros.

I will post photos and will wear them soon enough because a bit of cold weather is required and there is no sign of cold weather in Crete, yet.( not that I complain!).

I can see a pattern developing about my thrifting habits here. I work in a school as a teacher which means 9 months of everyday different outfits. That's when I blog the most and thrift the most. In summer time the need for dressing( other than very casual staying at home or going to the beach) is limited. That's when I usually don't post often or when I purge like mad. Only the most favorites of the winter thrifting extravaganga stay.( I exept here the days I work/help my husband for AutoRentals-Crete)

And then I go back to school and off I start again. 

I believe that because I managed to tidy effectivelly my house the KonMarie method and took the Project 333 I was able to clearly see the pattern.

How to wear red skirt 3 ways

Because I didn't post for a while ,it doesn't mean I wasn't getting dressed. On the contrary , since I scored this red skirt (finally!) this Wednesdey ,while thrifting ,I put together 3 outfits that I totally love.
Take for example this first one. Vintage top from the 80s hand sewn by my aunt. I've worn it a couple of times as a young girl in my 20s but not with as much attitude as I do today ( getting older has its good points).It so happens that the color is so hot at the moment.

This skirt has become' the mother' of 3 of my orphan tops that collected dust in my closet. Like this wonderfully patterned top. I never really figured with what to wear it although I bought it 5 years ago for my son's birthday. I've only worn it with jeans and black bottoms but they didn't do it justice.

And last but not least my preppy teacher looks with a twist see color and animal print. And did I mention the skirt cost me just one euro and didn't need any altering ?It fits like a glove.
Enough raving ,tomorrow is elections day in Greece and I pray for a goverment in favor of the people.
