Bad hair boho day

The title says it all! Bad hair boho day.

 What I'm wearing is not a skirt, it's a dress with a boho vibe.

 As for my hair ....first I'm going grey and secondly I had no time to style it! 

Everybody noticed, I got so many comments from kids at school.

 It was funny how some kids could spot the difference so they figured I had been to the hairdresser's. So sweet, isn't it?

Photo bombed

                      Photo bombed by elder son while wearing a super comfortable outfit and shoes. This black cardigan by H&M fits so nicely, it's short ,round neck and falls nicely on body.

Olive and burgundy- take 2

       I had a burgundy theme all this week and totally enjoyed it! Plus I remixed plenty of my clothes!

Monochromatic love again

I love how burgundy and olive and light blue all go together!

Fail outfit

One of the most unsuccessful outfits. I went for monochromatic and ended up with a mismatched outfit. I enjoyed it nevertheless!

Cream colors

         I continue with muted colors and monochromatic. It feels very relaxing and easy to follow. New addition the pale pink t shirt from H&M

Hand made earrings

Ok, I feel proud because if I want to renew my wardrobe I can at least add something handmade by me.

 This takes away a bit of the guilt I feel when I buy something I don't really need but have talked myself that  I need. It doesn't happen all that often but it does,

 And I get annoyed so I have figured out a trick. If I can at least make something myself I can postpone the stupid need to buy for sometime.

It was a stay at home outfit and for all it's worth check the diy necklace. And yes my hair is curly naturally.

Pattern for sewing I love

I love this dress and I plan to duplicate as the pattern is so basic. Scarf and diy bracelets add the personal note. I hope age appropriate ...but on another note who cares?

Love white

White top on top of my strippes dress. It's the first time I wear this dress as a skirt and I can say it served me well. the dress is last summer's purchase but it's classic look so I can wear for many seasons. The white top I find very versatile and I enjoy wearing it.

DIY Bracelets

Black top love

This black top is a go to item in my wardrobe. It matches everything I own and it's easy to laundry. Is there anything more to ask from a top?

Pencil skirt

This type of tight, thick  elastic fabric skirts are easy to wear and flttering to my body as they hold my tummy and thighs in their place if you know what I mean. They are also very easy to make as a diy easy project. If I get bored of the 4 pencil skirts I own I will make some myself.

Crochet gift

I consider this crochet top as a gift to myself in two ways. First because I made it as a gift to myself and secondly because I've been gifted with a talent to crochet.

New scarf

Yes, I did it again. I bought one more scarf I don't need but it's of great color and only set me back 1 euro. Well, never mind!

Favorite dress

I have lost a couple of kilos recently and I was able to wear favorite(thrifted) dresses again. And I felt like pilling on my diy accessories.

New grey top

A grey top goes out and a new one comes in. That's new rules ladies. I don't buy on impulse anymore or for recreational reasons any more. At least not in the summer time when I don't work right in the heart of the shopping centre of my city.

Classic dress

I think this kind of dree is a classic and can be worn from day to night by changing the accessories. Today, it is worn with my new Nike running shoes and my diy necklace. Very personal style and very comfortable is my description of this outfit.

My blue dress

When the going gets tough I need something simple to grab. My blue Lacoste dress I bought last winter in Milan. It holds nice memories, it's good quality and I love the classic navy color it has.

Red and olive

There is no outfit a red bag can't lift. It saved my simple outfit and I think red and olive go so good together.

Yellow, my love

When it comes to yellow, I love it in small doses. It's a classy color and 40+ safe !

All about comfort

Yes, I have reached that age when comfort is more important than style. My feet have suddenly have become very sensitive and the doctor suggested special shoes from now on. But like scarves and t shirts there are plenty of options out there, so it will not be a boring transition!

Graphic scarf

I may not have a love for graphic t shirts but I surely love graphic scarves. Now that I come to think of it, scarves are all ages appropriate. You see, I have a teenage daughter which is an eye opener concerning clothes. 

 Suddenly a whole range of clothes are out of touch for my 48 year old body. No complains though, there are plenty of choices and new opportunities. And I can still go crazy on scarves!

 A lot of my outfits are in danger of looking similar but what's wrong with that? I love remixing and find new ways to wear my clothes. Check the top I'm wearing today. I flipped the back with the front and I have a new style.

Star of simple

A hot busy day requires minimum fuss, so I picked my denim bermuda and black tank top. This for me translates into many pockets and bare arms. Then comes the fun part- accessories,yeah!- a belt that my mother embroidered, green shoes, white sunglasses and a star!

Graphic tee

Some weeks ago a friend gave me this t shirt. You may not have noticed  (why would you?) that I don't own any graphic t shirts or ones with logos as I don't feel comfortable wearing them anymore. But the t shirt I wear today has a very interesting detail -the shape of the sleeves- a bit bell shaped. This detail, according to my mind, makes the tshirt suitable for a grown up like me.

Flower power in the 40s plus

      I would call this a happy outfit- denim bermuda shorts and a favorite top hand sewn by my aunt .

The top is soft silk fabric  and has lovely autumnal colors although it's  still a blazing summer here in Greece.

It's hot very hot today and I'm so much into basic minimal look suitable for my age and my outfit today ticks all the right boxes. I had to add 2 of my favorite jewellery though to infuse a touch of personal style. It means a lot to me.

It was one of these days that my outfit didn't want to photograph decently. Nevertheless, you get an idea of my latest buy - a cropped shirt in a lovely basic (or not) color. Plus minimal accessories.

New bag

Another simple on the go outfit. Silk plain top and my favorite black pants. Instant elegant outfit!

But this post is about my new bag. After my last bag was down to pieces I had to buy a new one. Did you notice? I had to...it wasn't an impulse buy but one out of nessesity. A glimpse of my old bag when it was still new

My new bag is by a Greek company called Thiros and is very elegant, modern and easy to carry. It's good quality fake leather and has pockets in all the right places!

How to wear a crochet top over 40

The outfit today is built around  the black cotton top which is made with the fillet crochet technique. I made it last winter and totally enjoyed the process. A black tank top under it for obvious modesty reasons and a black tight skirt (modesty reasons gone with the wind) complement the look.

Bermudas over 40

New denim bermuda and new haircut. I'm officially going back to the natural grey color of my hair.

I'm still in the process of simplifying my style and I'm sort of done with experimenting with my style.

 I've done that the years before. I now yearn for elegance and simplicity. 

Bermudas are a new style for me, very practical and I hope age appropriate.

Modern strippes

I fell in love with this tank top a while ago and bought it for just 1 euro! I wear a lot of tank tops in the summer as it gets terribly warm and occassionally terribly hot. This one has all colors of the rainbow which makes it so easy to combine.

Classic strippes

Recently, it's all about using what I have in my closet as a source of inspiration. I no longer spend time on the net to get inspired and pull looks together. I mostly care about what I have and how to make the most and best use. And although I don't have a large wardrobe ( downsized a lot) I still own enough to be able to put together numerous outfits. Frankly, more than I have occassions to wear.

Tunics are cool

An inspired look , I love everything about it! Loose top and tight bottoms are so forgiving for the mature figure. Be on diet for ever, also helps!
