Shirt-Pants combo

The complition of Project 333 and the change of season have left me somewhat un decisive on what to wear and the direction of my style. I know it's not gonna be experimenting with paterns and colors any more or pile up on accessories. I can feel the new direction coming, I have a need for a change, however I don't know how it will manifest, yet. So, I keep on posting everyday and I'm sure my new style will emerge when the time is right. I the main time let's have fun with today's outfit.

Like I said , same idea, shirt plus elastic pants like yesterday, only different colors. The pants are new from Zara and the shirt is thrifted, exellent quality and a favourite.

Just take a closer look of shoes, bag and short boots.

I'm linking again to my favorite Visible Monday. Come join me and all beautiful ladies out there!

Floral is cool

I wore burgundy pants and floral thrifted shirt in similar colors today
and never looked back. I also bought a pair of low heel grey shoes for 15 euro. I'm not sure though if it's too much or too little money. For sure they are comfy and that's why I bought them. I'll post an outfit with them next week.

                                                                   Sneakers bershka bershka, pants zara
I have planned my outfit for tomorrow. It's same kind outfit but different colors.

New top after a long time

Another casual outfit and the 4th day in a row that I post. I wore my jeggings, my favourite red shoes and a top I bought on sales last August. I would describe it as chaki colour, adorned with lace. It has a feminine cut, too and I got many positive comments today about my top.
The children at school went crazy about my necklace, especially about the fringe!

Top is from Anna Riska, jeggings and necklace from Zara group and shoes are
                     St. Oliver

Snake skin bag and red shoes are a match in heaven, aren't they?

I promise to meet you here tomorrow! See what I will be wearing. I haven't figured anything out , yet.

Burgundy elastic pants

How about colored, elastic jeans? Are they age appropriate? Well, they work just fine for me. Since I don't want to mess around skirts and matching tighs yet, I find them extra practical especially if they are the jeggings type. Forgiving and sooo comfortable! Here's the proof...

Pants in rich burgundy, recently bought from Zara worn with my basic annariska tshirt. The soft cashmere mix cardigan is thrifted and a favorite piece.

This scarf is a gift                                                                                                          the     shoes are from Zara

See you again here tomorrow. They say it will be a lot colder, tomorrow!

Nerd style

I' m totally focused on my teaching this year. I want simple, easy to move outfits on the classic, a bit nerd side. This truly describes my outfit today.

The blue shirt is classic style and it's actually well made out of thick material. It's by a Greek company called Anna Riska and was bought during sales times together with the black trousers I wear today. Both well fitting classic and basic pieces!
As for the silk scarf, it's thrifted and of excellent quality.

My only watch by folli follie                         Shoes bought this week by Mom shoes
                                                                                                axel accessories is my bag.
Best wishes and hopefully meet  you here tomorrow!

Autumn decisions

Happy autumn ,everyone! It's this time of the year that I always think about where i want to take my blogging next. I had some free time in summer and took it easy with my style choices. I had a sort of break, a break I'm all too eager to stop it now.
This is because I'm working again and I will get dressed first thing in the morning, everyworking day, for the next 9 months and I want to document my outfits.
The other reason is that I go to work everyday passing through the main shopping streets and I know I will be adding somethings to my existing wardrobe that I want to document.

So, this weekend I got down to work and took my camera out SONY a37 dslr ( 18-50mm lens) and my tripod and I did some research on how to make some decent fotos without sweating it that much.
My purpose is to be able to document my outfits everymorning as soon as I'm ready to get out the door.
I want a simple point, pose, shoot on timer and go procedure and I think I nailed it. I designed everything to be simple so I will not miss a single outfit. Not much posing, no photoshop after, just shoot in the morning and post later in the evening. I want sort of a chronicle of what I wear.
I've been doing this for years of course but this time I want to do it more systematically. That's my goal for the next season.

The jacket is thrifted, the scarf is gifted and the leggings are bought from Tally Weill last week.

The jewels are in the family, vintage, well loved and will pass on to my daughter! Sentimental value!
Shoes  Anesia
The bag is real leather and the size of it has become a favorite. I carry it everywhere from school to shopping to nights out with my husband or family walks.
The shoes are the newest addition. They are flats because I value comfort and they are of burgundy color because it's one of my favorites and it's a trend this winter, yeah!!!

Have a great week!

My capsule wardrobe/ Project 333/outfit 5

This is another typical outfit I wore all summer for my project 333. It's a bodycon dress and a scarf on top to add a bit more interest/drama. I'm Greek you know and we love a bit of drama everyday or else things seem dull.

I missed on sales because I conciously followed the project but I added later a few basics to my wardrobe . The scarf /vest and the second top I sew myself.

I wore my clothes to pieces and I'm so happy I did! I'm now looking forward to building my winter wardrobe. I'm not sure what will be in it but I'm sure it will be special to me ,well loved pieces.

Crochet like crazy

Reblogging from myself.  I love this more and more every time I see it.
Bette Davis crocheting on the set of ‘The Letter’

When I saw this image, I felt like it absolutely describes what I do in my free time, these days. I crochet like crazy! It takes the stress out of my life and makes me feel creative and alive.
I have already completed my project 333 and although I haven't posted much, it was an interesting adventure. It helped me settle down to a simple classic/minimal style of dressing that requires little management.
After 4 years of experimenting with my style I think I found what I was looking for to be my style. The positive in my case was that I have freed space in my head to follow other things like experiment with my teaching technics as well as my crochet passion let alone my family life and my passion for politics and activism.
It somehow feels crazy but I felt like I had to give an explanation for my absense to those people that have been great blogging pals for some  years.

What I did this summer

Hello everybody! I somehow feel I owe you an explanation but since the reason I was away for 2 months is simply called procastrination and feeling quilty about it which leads to more procastrination ... I will just post some photos of what I did this summer in beautiful Crete.

This summer started with clouds and sporadic rains

But the nature kept being beautiful...

even when the capital controls were forced and for a while...activity froze

But nature kept being beautiful and after the initial shock...life went on as usual

By mid of July a  heatwave came and lasted ...well it seemed for ever

And of course I worked in our company helping husband with renting cars to people who vivited our beautiful island Crete

In the begining of July was the big referendum, a great  political event, the result of which was twisted according to many of my fellow citizens and me.

But it wasn't all work, politics and taking photos of nature!

Amigurumis were made together with little Miss

                                                            Bread recipees were tried

And tidy methods were put to the test...Marie Kondo's the best so far

Little Miss's Closet before and after

It was the summer I purged 2/3 of our belongings and re examined where we keep everything that was left. And finally, bedcovers were bought, minimal style, for the whole family.

All in all it was a nice... although blog shy summer. I'll catch up with you soon!

My capsule wardrobe/ Project 333/outfit 4

When it comes to simple, wearing a dress and slippers is the perfect choice. In just 2 min I was ready to go. It took more time to pin the flower on my hair the right way(?), though!

The dress is cotton and light . It is of simple design pattern and the creation of yet another Greek designer called Anna Kourbela. My minimal design sleepers are a trend this summer and of course very comfortable.

About my Project 333 all I have to say is that
  •  I'm now dressed with style in a flash of a second and I absolutely give no second thought since everything combines together.
  •  I don't browse via Internet for inspiration. Instead, I comment more on my favorite bloggers or make new connections!
  •  I 've been to the shops twice to shop summer essentials for the kids and I was not tempted to buy. I was even puzzled and comfused by the huge amount of choices I found there.

My capsule wardrobe/ Project 333/outfit 3

I love how this outfit turned out. And I have to give many thanks to my photographer, my sweet daughter. Also for her diy necklace I'm wearing today.

The culottes has a story. Basically of not importance to the rest of the world but a kind of milestone for me. It was a warm spring afternoon and I summed up the courage to step into an expensive shop of good quality clothes.

Although I had long ago made the decision  that I need a few good quality clothes always quantity won over quality in my case.

But not that afternoon. I stepped inside, I asked for what I had in mind and I tried a few pieces. With each one I tried I could see how my body image was transformed. The fabric draped in all right places, the design, the height of waistline, the length and even the pockets were the signs that I would absolutely enjoy wearing this culotte again and again.

It wasn't cheap and no discount was made for me but every time I wear it I feel special and I don't want to buy anything more. I am satisfied. I don't lust over something else bacause what I bought is special and when I wear it I am and feel well dressed.

With fast fashion, one reason I always wanted more, is that I'm never satisfied because rarely something is well made. There is always something to worry. Sometimes the length is not right or the sleeves are too long or the fabric not so forgiving etc.

The culotte is of a Greek  designer brand called Anna Riska and I'm totally happy I shopped there.

The white (tank) top is a must for any versatile capsule wardrobe especially in warm countries. I like the simplicity of the tank top but can be anything white on top. Accessories look so much better against white.

I had a few questions conserning Project 333
Their site is very explicit and inspiring at the same time. As for me I'm taking the summer edition roughly for the next 3 months. I will be posting a few times a week to present you with the combinations I come up with. The rest of the days that I don't post is because I'm repeating, or wearing a slight  variation. I want to test my creativity and check how well I have chosen the 33 pieces in my summer capsule wardrobe. And of course how long will I last without buying anything.
Have a great  rest of week.

PS ask anything you want to know about what's happening to Greece. I will try and answer.
