One more chance Outfit # 5
After almost a year in the fashion blogospher I'm under the (false maybe?) impression that you shouldn't wear florals in autumn.
Well, today I'm gonna break this rule (if it ever exists!!!)
This dress (yes,it's a dress)has made it's debut in spring and was worn most of the summer.I love the color so much that I want to give it one more chance before I put it away for the winter. See how good I am with my clothes?
Do you put your clothes away according to season or wear all of them all the time? How good are you with your clothes? Do you give them many chances before throw / keep away for some time?

Rules are meant to be broken and you should definitely wear florals in autumn! Nice look!

I do categorize my clothing by seasons. I wear florals very, very seldom and for a reason unique to me, not because of a "fashion rule" unwritten somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI think this WORKS because of the purple color.
I love florals! I think if you layer them right, they are good all year long! :)
ReplyDeleteI own so few clothes that it doesn't make sense to categorize and pack them during certain seasons. My closet would be empty! Also, to paraphrase Michael Kors, we live in air-conditioned, seasonless times. Today's apparel is meant to transition and layer seamlessly throughout the year.
ReplyDeleteP.S.: Beautiful print, lady!
I do like it but since you said you have mixed feelings, I will admit that it's not one of your best. But hey, that's how I feel about my Friday outfit! It's impossible to pick something amazing every single day. Which reminds me, do we have to do Saturday and Sunday as well? I thought Kendi usually doesn't post on weekends. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteI love the green and purple colour combination :)
ReplyDeleteFirst outfit that I've seen on your blog and I'm loving the purple + green color combo!
ReplyDeleteThere are a few pieces that are season specific in my wardrobe, but the basics stick around all year long.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. It's nice to "meet" you.
I'm headed to snoop a little more around your blog now.
Rules schmules! I love it paired with the green!
ReplyDeletethere are no rules, just what you feel like. I think this is fine for autumn and love purple matched with green!
ReplyDeleteI think you can wear florals all year long, the dress looks great with the cardi and boots! I usually never put clothes away for the winter since it never really gets that cold where I live.

I agree- fashion "rules" are not necessities. It's all about how you feel and how you express yourself. Most of my favorite combos are "fashion no-nos" but they work for me! That dress looks gorgeous (and fit for fall) with the olive cardigan! Great outfit :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with the first commenter-- rules are meant go be broken, especially when you're making it look so good!
ReplyDeleteI definitely cannot put white away after labor day. It's just too awesome a color.
This is such a perfect mix of colors and proportions! I love it.
ReplyDeleteFloral dress looks fabulous w/ an olive colored sweater (a fab fall color!)....
ReplyDeleteLove, love love the boots girl!
That dress is really pretty, I think I would wear it year-round and just change up the accessories, like you did.
ReplyDeleteI have some items that I use all year and then some that get put away for winter and vice verse. Mostly things like shorts go away for the winter and long blazer-coats and heavy sweaters go away for the summer, etc.
Love the purple and olive!
