White canvas...fresh start Outfit #1

Hello fellow remixers, let the party begin!!! I was getting
a bit anxious as to what to pick for the first day but then I thought anxiety is out of the game. This is supposed to be fun!
So, with no further a do, I grabbed the skirt I proudly sew a couple of weeks ago out of vintage fabric and my trusted black cardigan. Then, I added a bit of colour and a belt. You see, you can't go wrong with a bit of color and a belt. I put my favorite oxfords(too  fashion forward at the moment) , I took a pose and shoot! I wish I was that decisive with ...the rest of my life!
What do you think of my first outfit? Was it difficult for you to choose? Have you any stylistic advice to offer?

cardigan marks&spencer, red top zara, skirt i sew out of vintage fabric, shoes thrifted, belt... god knows

  1. I know what you mean about choosing the first outfit. I still haven't! [on weekdays I work from home and seldom get out of my Workout pants or PJs] ...

You look very sharp and put-together! :) I think it will get interesting once we have worn all the picks at least once and the remixing truly begins! :)

  7. Hi there! I love the first outfit- very sweet but also modern-y vintage. I don't think you'll have any problems remixing! I actually started figuring out what I could pair what with, and found that a short-ish dress works surprisingly well tucked under a skirt, functioning as a cute blouse :) that might give you even more options

  8. What do I think of this outfit? I think I love it! & I think it's ten times better than most BECAUSE YOU SEWED YOUR SKIRT!

Was it hard for me to choose my outfit today? YES!! I felt the same anxiety you did! I even fell asleep thinking about it yesterday, silly, no?

    Glad we're in it together!

  10. Your shoes are too cute! I really like your use of the belt here, too.

Nice start. And nice mix of clothes below. I feel like maybe I picked too many shoes and too many dresses. We'll see how it goes, I suppose.

  13. Wonderful outfit, & an auspicious start to your challenge! i totally agree about the power of a belt and a little color (ok, so usually the color is my underwear, but still - i always do a belt!)

and i love the way you photographed your clothing choices. absolutely charming. best wishes, steph

  15. I love what you put together! I agree, you can never go wrong with a belt and some color. This skirt is great - how fun that you are using something you made yourself within this challenge! I would love to do that on the next go around! :)
