On to my outfit , now. This outfit evolves around my scarf. While I'm doing my collages I noticed that I've got all my basic colors covered and that I've got many scarves that I could use to introduce pattern and tie together my tops and bottoms.
Scarves are such a valuable accessory when it comes to adding some interest into basic outfits. It's also a cheap way to enrich a wardrobe unless of course you go for Hermes.
So , what's your relationship with scarves and how often do you wear them and how many have you got? I've got 26 and counting.
You do have an enviable collection of scarves, and you wear them to great effect!
ReplyDeleteI can't resist vintage square scarves, silk if I can find them, they are often really cheap at jumble sales and markets. Haven't counted, but I have a lot, all colours and patterns! xxx
I love the scarf. You inspired me to wear one yesterday!
ReplyDeleteI've probably got 26 scarves. If I like one I rarely give it away.
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who paints silk scarves so many are her creations. If we get together I have to be sure I don't wear a scarf I've bought at Target or other discount store. She goes on a big rant when she thinks about people who won't buy nice scarves!
Come summer June/July/August I usually switch to necklaces. It's just too humid her in the Mid-Atlantic region.
I wait to see you wearing some of your silk scarves.
DeleteYou've inspired me, Angie...I really need to walk more. And I will wear a scarf when I do it!!
ReplyDeleteYou've inspired me to count my scarves.Keep on walking!
DeleteYou have more scarves than I do! I imagine I have 15 or so and I know that I don't use mine enough. I drive 55 miles to go to work and I envy your walk.
ReplyDeleteAnd I envy you for driving because I don't know driving.
DeleteHi Angie! I immediately fell in love with your blog and with your charming style!
ReplyDeleteAnd you have so beautiful smile… which reminds me the beautiful seas and sky of the Crete Island, where I and my husband have stayed for the honeymoon! ;-)
Thanks for your kind words! It's so nice to hear good words for my country by real people from all over the world instead of economists and politicians judging the economy.
DeleteLike Terri, I envy your walking to work. When I move to NYC that is what I will do : > You look fabulous in your colorful scarf. And you're right, it's the best way to change the look of an outfit. I think I have about 20 scarves, but I don't wear them enough : >
ReplyDeleteAm I missing something? Are you moving to New York to stay? For how long?
DeleteLove the scarf and the bag! Yum!

I have over 60(!!!) but have decided to keep just 12 in my wardrobe, those that really make a difference to a look. The rest has disappeared into the basement to wait for fall. I will then see if there are any I'd like to use.
ReplyDeleteI agree - great accessory!
Best, Annie
I love, love, love scarves!!! I have a very expensive one by Chanel. I got it on ebay. My husband was going to let me get an Hermes, but I loved the Chanel most. I have many other scarves- some silk, wool, cotton. Some scarves my husband brought me back from Afghanistan, Iraq- these are very special. No matter what the season, or what I'm wearing, a scarf always makes it better. I'm glad you are enjoying yours. I really love this look from top to toe!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this look-just thrifted a pair of white jeana, finally!
