top & skirt thrifted scarf cotton/silk gifted |
I looked around and found some blogs of other scarf lovers and most of them seem to be into Hermes scarves. They are beyond my reach at the moment but they offer great inspiration for color combinations like this one I have on today.
Needless to say this sudden love for scarves has sent me straight to my closet and pushed me to create many new outfits to wear this week.
And it has made it all the more clear for me that all I need is to use my creativity to make full use of what I have which is one of the most important reasons I started this blog.
Which make me wonder what was the main reason you started yours?
I've been behind, so I just read all of this week's scarf posts. Great looks! It's amazing what a little scarf can do, isn't it? To answer your question, I think I started my blog because I wanted to write more. It seemed like a good context for being creative in that way. I didn't really intend to wade into the outfit post world (I didn't even know it existed!). But doing so has helped me to find and enjoy a second benefit -- getting more creative with my wardrobe. So in that way, I think we have similar goals.
ReplyDeleteYou have a talent in writing and you found a very warm audience in the outfit post world so you stayed around and made us all very happy. For me it was clothes first and then I struggle with writing.
DeleteI like the contrast of this scarf with your outfit. I've been looking for some scarves, but all I've seen are scarves that have fringe on the ends. I'm not a fan of those, although I have several.
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for scarves myself but all I found and liked were expensive so I stick with the ones I have for the moment.
DeleteLove the colors in this outfit. Isn't fun to play in your own closet and make new outfit.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I love styling!
DeleteI can't afford Hermes...but I love scarves...I have too many!! Yours has great color and the skirt is fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired me to count them after a post.
DeleteHow many scarves do you own? My blog began as a way to fight a feeling of invisibility as I age, but I would have to say that my purpose has changed a bit over time as I've sampled a wider variety of colors and this year I'm focusing on different shopping venues. As always, I do it for fun!
ReplyDeleteI already have 26 some bought some given. You certainly don't look invisible any more and I haven't seen you wearing blue or grey for a long time.Your features on the shopping venues have been very informative to people outside US and I'm waiting to see what's next.
ReplyDeleteAmazing colour! I love scarfs too
ReplyDeleteIt's been a long time since you've posted. I miss you and your beautiful outfits! I hope everything is well with you and your family.
